Freelance photographer for hire

I am a freelance photographer based in the Washington DC metro area, who specializes in shooting live events. For years, day job was as a computer scientist, while I pursued photography on the side. In that role, I helped organize, participated in, and spoke at numerous technical conferences, which has given me key insight into the inner workings and attendee experience of these types of events. I have shot at IEEE conferences, technology showcases for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the USA Science & Engineering Festival.

I also come from a family of musicians and have a deep love for and understanding of the art. I am often found around local scenes shooting performers at outdoor festivals and in music venues. While I am based in the Washington, DC metro area, I do get to other areas and frequent Atlanta, GA, Knoxville, TN, and Huntsville, AL.

My live shots may be licensed for promotional purposes. I am also available on commission for studio and/or on location photographs. I offer highly flexible packages to meet the unique needs of each client. Contact me for details.

In addition to music and live events, my photographic interests include fireworks, celestial events, architecture, botany, and foods. Several of my fireworks photos have been featured in local DC metro area magazines. Check out some of my fireworks and other photos on Adobe Stock (click here).

Feel free to browse my photo galleries here for something you might like. And while you are at it, be sure to check out and ’like’ my Facebook page, where I post photos. If you see a photograph on my Facebook page that you would like to have, and you do not see it here, please contact me. In all, I hope you just enjoy looking at my art as much as I enjoy creating it.
